I've had a POSITIVE relationship with seniors and keen interest in their everyday life since a very young age. After graduating from high school in Prague (Czech Republic), I moved to Montreal (Canada), where I completed my graduate studies. In 2018, I obtained my first master's degree in GERONTOLOGY and in 2021, a second degree in the field of RE-ADAPTATION techniques at the Faculty of Medicine.
In 2013, I launched my own business, managing a team of 3-5 people and a herd of animals :) Animal therapy has been a cornerstone of my work. Together with my team, we have partnered with a number of nursing homes caring for people with dementia, where we apply NON-PHARMACOLOGICAL approaches to care that serve as PREVENTION of behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD). Thanks to my extensive studies and continuous professional development, I have developed a broad expertise that I can draw on to advance my work both individually and in collaboration with medical teams and caregivers.
In 2022, I returned to Prague, eager to apply my knowledge and experience from Canada in my home country. I am dedicated to continuous EDUCATION of caregivers and healthcare professionals in the field of gerontology, with a focus on dementia and BPSD.
